Hi again,
so i replaced this exploded pile of crap in my Thomson MO6 ...
The fuse was broken too (160mA - 250V), so my question is ... are there the same fuses in other Thomson computers like the TO7, MO5 or TO8, so i could try one out them to test the MO6? I don't have the right fuses at home ...
Thanks & Regards
Tom

Re: MO6 restoration ... fuse question ...
Warning : A blown fuse is caused by a short-circuit downstream. You must find the cause of the short circuit before replacing the fuse.
The TO8 or TO8D fuse is 315mA T. It can be used to test the MO6, but must be replaced later by a 160mA T fuse.
The TO7/70 fuse is 800mA T, and should not be used to replace the 160mA T.
The MO5 fuse (1600mA T) can not be used for the MO6.

Re: MO6 restoration ... fuse question ...
Well, the reason was the old an crappy X2 capacitor.
Thanks for the infos Daniel. I dound out, that one of my C64 power supplies has a 160mA fuse in it.

Re: MO6 restoration ... fuse question ...
According to the circuit diagram, the fuse is positioned "after" the capacitor
