Game of Life for Alice 4k
Salut a tous!
Today I had the morning off so I decided to code something for the Alice, it is the simulation called The Game of Life. I have tested it on emulators and it seems to be working fine. Can someone try it on the read machine please? thanks.

Hi W_oo_D !
I have downloaded DCAlice from http://alice32.free.fr/emulateur/index.html
And I attempt to load the tape file (k7) using a CLOAD, but the K7 file seem corrupt!
Is it the right basic command to load it ?

Re: Game of Life for Alice 4k
Bonjour,
Non tu n'as pas la bonne commande,
Pour charger le jeu il te faut l'instruction CLOADM, et puis EXEC pour le lancer.

OK !
It's a binary file.
The CLOADM & EXEC commands load properly the game!
Many thanks W_oo_d and Network (for technical support) .

Re: Game of Life for Alice 4k
I tested it on several configurations (4kb+16kb ; 4kb+32kb) on the emulator, but each session seem corrupt by a wrong randomized value... on each configurations (32kb don't work! ?Rom runtimes?).
The emulator isn't representative regard the true computer process...
Near the end of the game, some "sprites" seem to be "zombiefied" and steel alive.
Any ideas to kill them?

Re: Game of Life for Alice 4k
I tried the program with dcalice 2014.01.23. It works fine with each and every MC10 and Alice4K configuration.
Xavier is possibly missing something ?
I hope someone can test it with the real computer...

Any troubles, Daniel!Xavier is possibly missing something ?
Just a training period to keep this computer in my mind...
... En deux mots, je mélange tout!
Difficile de jumper d'un émulateur à l'autre... je ne sais pas comment tu fais!
Re: Game of Life for Alice 4k
If I find a little more time I will change the resolution from 64x16 to 32x32 which will be nicer and perhaps add some control to the user, like running the simulation again but with different values, show the number of cells alive etc, if memory allows that is .
(I have also a 16K version fullscreen but I don't know how common the memory extension is among users.)
Have a nice day!

Some of the cells will not die given certain conditions, that's normal.Xavier a écrit :I tested it on several configurations (4kb+16kb ; 4kb+32kb) on the emulator, but each session seem corrupt by a wrong randomized value... on each configurations (32kb don't work! ?Rom runtimes?).

To leave the simulation press SPACE several times.
