That's Not Junk. That's Early Tech
Prices for early computers and other geek memorabilia are on the rise.
Brainiac
Edmund Berkeley's electric brain kit, circa 1966, one of many electric brain kits the computing pioneer designed and marketed through his magazine Computers & Automation.

Apple 1
Apple Computer's first model, introduced in 1976, often featured a beautiful wood cabinet. Much prized by collectors, it sells for $16,000 to $20,000 when in good condition, according to Sellam Ismail, organizer of the annual Vintage Computer Festival swapfest in Mountain View, Calif.
DEC PDP-8
Known as the straight 8, it was the first minicomputer. Much prized by collectors for its rarity and elegant design, it sells for $15,000 to $20,000, while later PDP-8 models typically go for $800 to $3,000
Child's Play
This circa-1970 French board game was designed with the help of the then French national computer company Bull to teach kids the elementary principles of computing. Christie's expects it to sell for $600 to $800
